Get the fit right.

Trousers: waist and inside leg.

Measure with a flexible tape and keep it level, without pulling it tight. Check the units and choose both waist and length where offered. A “regular” length is not the same across every brand.

Measure a pair that fits you well as a useful comparison. Stretch fabric or an adjustable waistband does not replace checking the stated size.

Gloves and shirts: follow the maker’s method.

For gloves, manufacturers may use hand circumference, hand length or both. Measure the hand and location shown in the guide; do not substitute one measurement for another.

For shirts, check chest measurements and whether the chart describes body size or the garment itself. Allow for the layers and range of movement you need. Product photos may include the manufacturer’s size chart.
