A charged light. A simple routine.
A quick check now is better than discovering an empty battery when you need your torch.
Know what powers your model.
Check the battery type and the manufacturer’s approved charging method. Some lights have an internal rechargeable battery; others use replaceable cells. A similar-looking connector or battery is not enough to establish compatibility. Keep the instructions with your kit records.
Check stored lights too.
Batteries can lose charge in storage, and some devices draw a small amount of power while switched off. Include spare lights in your regular equipment check. Test that the light works before packing it, rather than relying on when it was last charged.
Follow the storage instructions.

Make replacement straightforward.
Record the model name, battery specification and any replacement part number. If charging or operation changes unexpectedly, follow the manufacturer’s troubleshooting advice and contact us with those details. Do not improvise repairs or substitute an unapproved battery.
